Located right on the beach, this restaurant probably has the best atmosphere out of any other spots on the island. Some of the lounges sit just a few feet from the water and give you stellar views of the sunset as you snack on chips and mango salsa or the delicious Club Med Plate during Happy Hour. (If you’re lucky, you may even be able to spot a sea turtle or whale as you dine.) Service is usually very quick and the portions are quite satisfying. As a vegan connoisseur, for a main dish, I am always delighted by the Farm to Beach topped with perfectly prepared tofu. All of my pescatarian feeding companions rave about the fresh seafood dishes as well. There really isn’t a way to go wrong ordering here. Between the environment, tasty cocktails, and flavorful food, Lava Lava Beach Club is always a guaranteed stop whenever I have visitors in town.
Beautiful setting right on the beach. Comfortable couches and sitting areas on the sand as well as indoor seating. Had their specialty mixed drinks, the Coconut Maitai was delicious. Did not order food, but they did have a nice menu. Very relaxed atmosphere, servers were attentive.
The atmosphere here is #1 on the island. Live music. Picturesque sunsets. Drink with your toes in the sand or watch sports at the bar. Either way you can enjoy the cool ocean breeze on a warm Hawaiian day. Happy Hour discounts on food & drink 2-5. Beach seating is hard to get so arrive early. If you have to wait, they have games on the lawn to entertain you. Good food & MaiTai's! Prices are high, same as the rest of the island.
Absolutely amazing location and experience. Great happy hour food and drinks. Restaurant is literally on the beach. The food is great and drinks are made well. Fast and friendly service. The sunset from here is amazing and live music at night is a blast. Kids can play on the beach while you enjoy some food and drinks.
5 stars for the bar but no stars for the restaurant side.
The pineapple bowls with the rice were basically mush. I have never had such soggy and gross rice before. It seems like it must have been sitting on a warmer plate all day rather than being freshly prepared. I don't know how else it would have gotten such a gross consistency.
The service was great and the drinks were delicious from the side bar while we waited for a table.
The experience took a turn for the worse after being seated. One member of our group followed the servers suggestion for what to order because he wanted lobster (which can't be ordered as a meal, it can only be added to a meal). When the meals were delivered is when he was informed they were out of lobster. He should have been informed earlier so he would have had the chance to order something else.l since he only ordered the item he did because the waitress recommended it for adding lobster to.
