Great service. Better atmosphere and dining environment. The food's good.
View at sunset was worth the price (check the time and make a reservation). Locally sourced fish we had was excellent ($50), kids menu was reasonable for the little ones ($10). Service was mediocre, and suggest you skip the cocktails (underwhelming) and stick to beer or wine. I would recommend for the sunset view and the food, but expect to pay handsomely!
We splurged to come here on one of our last night's on the Big Island of Hawaii and it was well worth it. We had a perfect, romantic table for two with am amazing view of the Waikoloa coast line. Food was excellent (though pricey!). Service was also great, but best to come after sunset for the best service.
Having been to many fine dining restaurants, this is definitely a fantastic experience. While some of their minor presentations made me first lean more towards 4*, their personality, ambiance, customer service, and extensive wine list make this a 5* place to visit. If something isn't perfect? Let them know. They go above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable.
The view is AMAZING, and that's the best part of the restaurant. On the island one becomes accustomed to island time, but it would have been nice to have our water and iced tea glasses filled. It's a steak and seafood place with one vegetarian entree option, that they were out of, so it was disappointing when you are looking forward to it. The vegetarian substitute was very disappointing and expensive. The service was friendly, and again island time. I would definitely go back again for the amazing view.
