Good taco, especially the fish taco.
Authentic Mexican food. Being half Hispanic, in our family we've said, "If their beans & salsa are the bomb, the rest will be great." Everything my family has eaten from this place thus far over the past year has been delicious! They've been in the restaurant business a very long time...30+ yrs going back to my childhood home town of El Segundo, CA when it was Rafael's in the 1980's. Their Waimea location is equally delicious & satisfying! So grateful we have authentic Mexican food on the big island!
Good satisfying Mexican/American food. Get the mahi mahi fish taco. Expect them to run out of things, as it is a small window operation. I would not call it authentic Mexican, (don't expect open face tacos or tortas) but the food is on point.
I was very impressed how authentic thisMexican food was so far removed from the mainland, and Mexico itself. Their enchiladas come highly recommended for good reason - they use mole as the sauce instead of red or green sauce. Extremely good food, and highly recommended.
