So rude and insulting! I just wanted to know if it was still going on and if it applied to both courses??

Thanks Stephen and Becky!!

My husband and his friend had an amazing time playing the beach course! The course quality was great and the staff amazing!!

The only reason I am giving this resort a two star rather than one is because the manager sent a beverage cart with cans of beer to my family to soothe our anger. This is the most horrible experience I have ever had playing golf. Worst way to spend $1,500 is to play here for two days. Highly do NOT recommend you to come here.

Was lucky to ace #8 Beach Course! The folks in the pro shop could not have been nicer! They even gave me a "Hole In One" flag!

The course was in terrific shape 1st week Dec/2016! No reason to expect anything different in coming weeks/months.

If this is how MANAGEMENT treats guests this place isn't worth your time. I'll play nicer courses in the future: Oh, and they let a group of 8 with 6 kids aged 5-8 ahead of us who were smashing their rented clubs into the greens. Please avoid this place. Other than being in Hawaii, it has ZERO going for it.

I hit the ball into a rough, so I began to drive the cart near where the ball landed. I noticed the gas seemed to be low and called the starter to replace the cart. As I was driving slowly to the rough (which was 5 yards away from fairway) a staff member began to yell to me that I could not go there. There were no signs to indicate that I could not enter the rough. I do not understand the rough is nothing special??? I play golf more than 25 years!!!! What irks me was that the staff did not even apologize for the cart and immediately yelled at me for their mistake of not having signs. The staff member shouts at me and when I do not respond quickly, he asks if I could speak English. I, of course and told him I could. We had argument for a while I asked for the manager and was told that he was. Since he was the manager (Evertt is his name), I could not complain further and went on to play.

I played golf yesterday at the club with my sons aged 16+17. Everett (who is apparently the operations manager) was working in the pro shop. I asked about the afternoon special for golf regarding free club rental for junior players and if it applied to both courses. I explained that I had played a few days ago. The manager in his most condescending tone said to me: "Why are you acting like you don't know if there is a special if you played here a couple days ago?"

My brother came to visit big island from his country, and my family decided to meet him over there last month. He enjoys golf very much, and we stayed their for a 5 days. The first two days we golfed at Mauna Lani Resort, and the gold course was great, including the staff, they were very friendly (although it was a little expensive than I expected). On the last day, we went to Waikoloa Beach Golf Course (we played the Beach course and kings both), and the course and staff were incredibly rude!

Just walked on as a single and checking in was easy. The Kings course was in good shape with the greens running about 7 and a half to 8. A little on the slow side but still fun once you got used to the green speed. I played the front 9 nine in an hour and 20 minutes but caught up to a 5some on the back and then it got very slow. Will play the beach course next.
