No easy way to get here which makes this spot a unique place to visit. It's so nice when you have the area all to yourself! Definately bring the sunscreen and water on your hike out here. Attempt the trek with the intention of going in for a swim. After the hike out here, refreshing is an understatement. The rocks in and around the pool are jagged because well, it's in a lava field. Be careful not to get cut.
Beautiful, secluded area by a freshwater pond. Somewhat rugged hike is well worth the seclusion.
Beautiful area with quite a rugged hike through the lava fields! I recommend going early in the morning because there isn't any shade on the hike, and the black lava seems to make it even hotter. Also, bring sunscreen, a hat, plenty of water, and wear closed-toed shoes. Don't forget your camera!
