I had the displeasure of encountering the manager mentioned by other comments but I'll get to that in a second. The good is that the place is open past 9 PM and that the deli/cooking staff is really friendly. The bad and the ugly is with the merchandise manager. She has absolutely no idea how to talk to customers. How she became a manager is beyond me. She basically screamed at my son and accused him of switching the price label on a hat. When we told her he obviously hadn't she then threatened us with going through the video cameras to prove it. Once we proved her wrong by showing her the hat was on sale she just disappeared instead of even apologizing. I never comment, but because of that interaction I have to spread the word - don't come to this place unless you have no choice

They have everything! From $20 Hawaii shirt, sun screen, breakfast , beer, wine, and dinner. The food quality is not worse than the overrated restaurant s nearby. The price is very reasonable and there is no wait. It is like a mini Whole Foods

This store is an affiliate of ABC stores, a very popular chain of grocery/convenience type stores here in the islands. Yes, it will be a bit pricier than some other local stores because they are located in tourist/resort locations. However, they are fully stocked with food items- including some gluten free options- souvenirs, liquor, local Kona coffee, macadamia nuts, etc. They are also within walking distance of many hotels and condos. Therefore, they are very useful for folks who are visiting despite the prices! Also be aware that if you spend $100 you get a free coffee mug. So keep track of your receipts. Not a huge deal, but might be a good gift to take back home for someone and, hey, it's free!

Good selection and open at reasonable times. A bit pricey due to the location, but still very convenient. From sushi to cold medicine and a bit of everything in between.

Asked the manager (sheryl? Sherry?) if she had a hawaiian shirt in any larger sizes. She ignored me for five minutes while rearranging sandals and then when she finally acknowledged me she told me that as the manager she was too busy to have her time wasted and that she ran a grocery and not a merchandise outlet. I guess in Hawaii the customer comes last? And to think I was planning on picking up a whole Hawaiian get up. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else
