The mechanics and bikes here are great. No complaints there. The front staff on the other hand are snarky and insulting to a level that makes me never want to come back after having rented here for several years. They go to great lengths to imply you will steal equipment and bikes, with no reason for doing so. Go to Waimea instead.
Was just starting to train for a half iron man, and staying at the Marriott next door this was a super convenient spot to rent from. Prices we're very reasonable (especially for a multi day rental). I also had not even ridden a proper Tri bike before, and one of the techs helped me get settled and fitted properly in the back. Wasn't just an In and Out spot, they took the time to help.
They rent very fancy bikes (including carbon bikes) for very affordable prices. The staff was very helpful and they even gave me a bike repair kit, a saddlebag and a Garmin bike mount for free. Highly recommended!
Tip: the store is open until 9pm, but they don't rent bikes after 5pm. If you want to ride early in the morning, get a bike before 5pm.
Really liked this shop. I was on holiday and wanted to hire a tri bike to ride down the iron-man course to Kona. The staff could not have been more helpful and I ended up with a Cervelo P2. The bike was well maintained and I managed to get 2 rides in on it. Great experience, would do the same thing again. Thanks guys
Highly recommended. Staff were extremely helpful. We did not have reservations, but they found us the perfect bikes and were very attentive to fitting us so he would really enjoy our ride. They also gave us helmets to use and a lock at no extra charge. The rental rates are very reasonable, considering there is no other competition. And they even offered us chilled water for our water bottles. A great place!
